Since mid-2009, our mission is to deliver quantitative complexity management solutions to the medical community. Our products and services are based on Quantitative Complexity Management (QCM) technology from Ontonix.
OntoMed's futuristic approach is characterized first of all by the fact that it treats the human body as a system of interconnected and interacting systems. Secondly, our approach is based on a unique model-free approach, which does not resort to conventional mathematical modelling or data processing. We are able to process all vital signs simultaneously and taking into account all the possible couplings between the channels in an ECG, and EEG or streaming data generated in an OR or an ICU.
In 2010 OntoMed signed a Co-operative Research And Development Agreement (CRADA) with the US Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR).
OntoMed is currently collaborating with major hospitals and research institutions in various field such as cardiology, neurology and critical care.
OntoMed's founders are the principal authors of the world's first complexity-specific standard, the UNI 11613, published in Italy in December 2015.
